The town of Avon is officially a ``film-friendly'' jurisdiction, according to Town Administrator Michael McCue. Selectmen named McCue the town's film liaison last week and charged him with welcoming potential movie and television projects. Lieutenant Jake Murphy performed the coin toss before the Needham-Wellesley game. Murphy graduated from Wellesley in 2005 and was a football and lacrosse captain for the Raiders. In July, he lost both legs because of injuries he sustained while serving in Afghanistan. Murphy, a 2009 graduate of West Point, was surrounded by seniors from both teams during the pregame ceremony. Wellesley won the toss.
