Oscar Goodman might well become the Elvis of judges.The former Las Vegas mayor and, before that, the brusque and stylish "mob attorney," is filming the pilot of his staged courtroom show at Las Vegas Hilton Theater on Nov. 18. The working title of the show is "Las Vegas Night Court With Oscar Goodman," and the stage ? at least for the pilot ? is where Elvis Presley performed for 837 consecutive sold-out shows from 1969-1976.

Bloody bayonets from the Civil War share space with unopened bottles of Dom Perignon from the 1920s, vintage Coke machines from the 1950s and action figures dating to the 1930s.

Last Thursday, when Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman opened his interview with Stephen Colbert with the familiar braggadocio that Las Vegas is "the greatest city in the universe," Colbert cut him off with, "It's the greatest city in the universe, and if it isn't the greatest city in the universe, they can import part of the greatest city there and charge you to see it!"As it turns out, Colbert himself might be imported.
