DaJuan Summers had 15 points and nine rebounds, Jonathan Wallace reached a pair of milestones in a 19-point effort and No. 7 Georgetown closed out its nonconference schedule with an 82-55 victory against Fordham on Monday.
Austin Freeman had 12 points and Jessie Sapp and Roy Hibbert added 11 each for the Hoyas (10-1), who open Big East play Saturday at Rutgers. Georgetown limited Fordham to 27 percent shooting (18-for-66).
Marcus Stout led Fordham (6-6) with 27 points and Bryant Dunston added 20 points and 16 rebounds.
The Rams, who had won three of four, fell to 27-23 against Georgetown in the first meeting between the private Jesuit universities since the 1978-79 season.
Wallace became the Hoyas' career leader in 3-pointers made, breaking the record of 189 set by Kevin Braswell from 1998-2002 on a shot from the top of the arc with 14:32 remaining in the first half. That basket started a 12-0 burst, capped by a left-corner 3 and a transition layup by Summers that made it 29-8.
With 18:50 left in the second half, Wallace scored on a one-handed floater down the middle of the lane, becoming the 39th player in Georgetown history to reach the 1,000 points.
The Hoyas shot 64 percent (20-for-31) during a torrid first half, hitting 11 consecutive shots from the floor during one stretch. Summers' 3-pointer from the left wing capped the binge en route to a 50-27 lead at halftime.
Most of the damage done by Georgetown came on either uncontested layups or 3-point attempts, and the Hoyas finished 8-for-12 from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes.
Fordham got 17 first-half points from Stout, but never recovered after misfiring on seven of its first eight shots.
