The NGAUS legislative director is among Washington, D.C.'s top lobbyists, according to a Capitol Hill newspaper.

Retired Brig. Gen. Richard Green made The Hill's annual list of top lobbyists published May 2.

The article, "The best in the business for America's business," said the newspaper's staff compiled the list through "conversations with members of Congress, key aides and lobbyists themselves."

Lobbyists from 48 other Washington-D.C.-based associations joined General Green on the list.

"As part of an organization with power ties to governors," The Hill said. "[General] Green is boosted by a team of talented lobbyists to fight for the interests of the National Guard."

Other lobbyists listed included a former member of Congress, two ex-governors and a former Republican National Committee chairman.

The full list is available at The Hill's Web site at http://thehill.com.
