State and territory National Guard associations are eligible to receive a 25-percent rebate of their total collected 2008 NGAUS dues as pan of a special one-year trial program.
The association board of directors created the program as a member recruiting and retention tool.
The program is in addition to the Early Bird program, which returns 5 percent of national-association dues submitted to NGAUS by March 31.
This new effort will rebate 25 percent of collected individual national-association dues to those states and territories that either meet their NGAUS-prescribed membership improvement goal or maintain 100-percent membership.
For example, a state or territory with 70 to 79 percent membership in 2007 must bolster their rolls by 9 percentage points to earn the 25-percent rebate.
States and territories will have until Dec. 31 to meet their improvement or retention goals.
