Venezuelan police say they have arrested three fishermen in the shooting death of a U.S. tourist on the country's Caribbean coast.
Regional police chief Gustavo Palacios said Thursday that Jose Rodriguez, Jonas Marcano and Johan Isazis were arrested late Wednesday. They will face charges of homicide and attempted homicide.
Police say 55-year-old Kenneth Dale Peters was shot by armed men who boarded his sailboat to rob him Saturday. Peters' friend, Stephen Davis, was wounded.
Palacios said Peters was on a tourist visit with his wife. Police are arranging with the family to return his body to the United States.
