* Age: 40 (39 as of 6/30/08)
* Do you have ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? Each school district should have programs with the businesses in their districts to stir interest in the jobs and the specific companies.
* When do you see the community and yourself in the next 10 years? The community of East Syracuse is taking the steps to revitalize our business district and improve the quality-of-life. Our best years are in the near future. My ultimate goal is to represent a greater area in the U.S. Congress.
* Who has been the most influential person in your career? David Foor, president of Visual Technologies. He is the consummate role model.
* What are your guiding principles in life? No matter how good or bad things are going, always, always think of others first. Treat everyone with kindness, and take a genuine interest in them as person. Stand behind what you believe in, even if it is unpopular.
* What has been your best career decision? To run for public office.
* How has your life turned out differently than imagined? I have accomplished things that 20 years ago, I would have never believed in.
* What is one of your quirks? I can't sit still for a moment. I view every minute of my life as an opportunity to help someone.
* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? Always outwork and out-hustle your competition. Take time to recognize others for their time and efforts. Take ownership of your mistakes, and learn from them.
