Judy A. GEE
Assistant Vice President
Corporate Sales Officer
HSBC BANK N.A.
* Age: 39
* Do you have ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? We need to attract more business and industry to Syracuse to open the career market to students who receive their higher education in the area.
* Where do you see the community and yourself in the next 10 years? I hope to see that the community has grown to be a magnet for young, energetic families.
* Who has been the most influential person in your career? Paul Restante, my field director and mentor at one of my places of employment as my career evolved. Working with Paul, and growing under his guidance and mentorship, opened the opportunity for me in my current career with HSBC Bank.
* What are your guiding principles in life? Strive to have a positive effect on someone else's life each day, and never compare my story to someone else's. Each person's experience is unique.
* What has been your best career decision? My best career decision was when I had an opportunity to become self-employed, and I took it.
* What is one of your quirks? Not being able to stand by when a project needs to move forward.
* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? Being others-centered. Working as a team when necessary and as an individual when necessary. Believe that I can affect the outcome of anything if I am patient and dedicated. As long as I work hard, I will never fail due to lack of effort.
