Kevin A. DATTELLAS
Chief Financial Officer
SOLVAY BANK
* Age: 39
* Do you have ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? Job opportunities. We need to have active support from our state and local officials to seriously advocate job growth. * Where do you see the community and yourself in the next 10 years? I see myself living in the Syracuse area, raising my family, and enjoying the many opportunities available in the upstate area. The community has an opportunity to grow and prosper with the addition of DestinyUSA.
* Who has been the most influential person in your career? My wife Maria; my parents, Joe and Lorraine; my grand-father Joseph Viviani; Carl Dattellas; and Paul Mello.
* What are your guiding principles in life? Be passionate in everything that you do. Enjoy life, be thoughtful to people, work hard, make a good impression, and don't forget to save some time for a little humor.
* What has been your best career decision? Deciding to work at Solvay Bank.
* How has your life turned out differently than imagined? I never thought I would have the opportunity to live and work in the community in which I was born and raised.
* What is one of your quirks? Each day, I go to work with a pen and pencil set that I received as a college graduation gift, and I have never used them to this day. They have sentimental value.
* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? My strongest core value is family. Other values are commitment and dedication, as well as teamwork and respect.
