* Do you have ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? I left Syracuse after high school graduation and came back after 13 years, and I appreciate the quality of life possible in upstate New York. Returning to Syracuse was always in my master plan. It is wise to encourage youth to experience new things in other parts of the country or the world. It is equally important to encourage them to come back with their knowledge when the time is right.

* Where do you see the community and yourself in the next 10 years? I look forward to ongoing success in my company. Small businesses will continue to play an important role in the vitality of Syracuse's economy.

* Who have been the most Influential people in your career? My father, Phil Brady, and Mario Gabelli.

* What are your guiding principles in life? You create your own destiny. Success is a choice.

* What has been your best career decision? Moving back to Syracuse in 2002 and starting H.P. Mile.

* How has your life turned out differently than imagined? I started college at Fordham University in New York City as a biology major with plans to become a marine biologist. Being in the financial capital of the world made me rethink that career path, and I became an economics major and, worked on Wall Street until I moved back to Syracuse.

* What is one of your quirks? I often find myself straightening out crooked pictures on the wall. It doesn't matter where I am.

* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? Honesty, humor, punctuality, reliability, and luck.
