Monica CUTILLO CODY

Assistant Engineer

BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB CO.

* Age: 25

* Do you have ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? If there are jobs with growth potential, loved ones in close proximity, and financial justification for making the wise choice to come to Syracuse, they will come.

* Where do you see the community and yourself in the next 10 years? The community will be transformed into an energy-conscious epicenter for Northeast communities. I see myself creating a climate where youth are empowered to be the change they want to see in the world.

* Who has been the most influential person in your career? My mother because of the hard working, ethical, loving, and tireless energy that she has modeled for our family.

* What are your guiding principles in life? People are your most important asset. Be thankful for everything you have, and have a heart filled with love.

* How has your life turned out differently than imagined? I never thought I would move back to CNY after college; the call of a big city was very strong.

* What is one of your quirks? I love scrap booking, skeet shooting, and the smell of a clean house.

* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? Be ethical, be honest, and be fair. Give more than you take. Laugh at yourself and learn from mistakes. Realize that there is a greater good for which we're all responsible.
