Director of Fund Development
ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION, CENTRAL NEW YORK CHAPTER
* Age: 30
* Do you have ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? Syracuse and surrounding areas need to clean up our neighborhoods and put measures in place to curb violence and crime.
* Where do you see the community and yourself in the next 10 years? My hope is that the enemy of the young professionals can help revitalize our community and keep people and jobs local.
* Who has been the most influential person in your career? My father.
* What are your guiding principles in life? "Only you can create your own destiny." For me, I am striving for happiness in all I do.
* What has been your best career decision? I made the decision to leave a horrible job without another job lined up. It led me to the Alzheimer's Association and a job where I can be proud of my work, give back to the community, and continue to have strong relationships with my friends and family.
* How has your life turned out differently than imagined? When I was seven, I told my father to save his money because I was going to law school. I find that funny now since I am not smart enough to be a lawyer.
* What is one of your quirks? I am a perfectionist. Sometimes that is a good thing - sometimes it's a bad thing.
* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? Honesty is the best policy, and speak up when you see something that needs to be addressed.
