US Ryder Cup player Kenny Perry survived a scare, winning the third playoff hole to top Charley Hoffman at the six million-dollar FBR Open.
Perry posted a final-round 69 for a 14-under total of 270. Hoffman carded a 67 to get to 14-under for the tournament, and that proved good enough to get in the playoff when Perry bogeyed the final hole of regulation.
Kevin Na finished third after a 68 for 271, while Australian James Nitties and David Toms posted 68s to share fourth on 272.
Perry captured his 13th USPGA Tour title. Three of them came last year as he played his way onto the US Ryder Cup team that triumphed over Europe in September in his native Kentucky.
