Ireland field first against Bangladesh

Ireland's captain William Porterfield won the toss and elected to field in the World Twenty20 group A match against Bangladesh at Trent Bridge here on Monday.

Bangladesh, who need to win to stay in the tournament after losing their opening match to India, brought in left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak in place of seamer Shahadat Hossain.

Ireland, a non-Test playing nation coached by former West Indian opener Phil Simmons, are playing their first match in the tournament.

Bangladesh: Mohammad Ashraful (capt), Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Junaid Siddique, Raqibul Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Mohammad Mahmudullah, Rubel Hossain.
