Nora weakens from tropical depression to a remnant low far out in the Pacific

Tropical Depression Nora has weakened to a remnant low far out in the Pacific.

The system's maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 kph) early Friday and it's expected to get weaker.

The system is centered about 890 miles (1,430 kilometers) west-southwest of the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula and is moving west near 7 mph (11 kph).
