The family of a man presumed dead after a shooting on a lake on the U.S.-Mexico border plans to hold a memorial service for him in Colorado on Sunday.

The service for 30-year-old David Hartley, who grew up in Loveland, will be held in Fort Collins.

Hartley's wife, Tiffany, says he was shot on the Mexican side of Falcon Lake on Sept. 30 while the two were sightseeing on Jet Skis. She says she tried to drag her husband's body onto her watercraft but had to retreat to the U.S. side of the lake as bullets whizzed by her.

Authorities have not yet found Hartley's body. Officials in Zapata County, Texas, and Mexico are investigating the case.
