British Prime Minister David Cameron will visit Canada on Thursday and address a joint session of parliament in Ottawa, a government statement said.
"The United Kingdom is one of Canada's closest friends and allies," Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said.
"I look forward to welcoming Prime Minister Cameron to Ottawa and I am particularly pleased that he has accepted an invitation to address a joint session of Parliament."
Cameron will arrive in Ottawa from is attending the United Nations General Assembly.
