LaMarcus Aldridge scored 23 points with six rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 97-84 NBA victory over Memphis that ended the Grizzlies' winning streak at seven games.
The Trail Blazers denied the Grizzlies their eighth straight victory that would have matched the franchise record, set in January of 2004.
Memphis had kept the streak alive on Monday when they rallied from a 20-point deficit to stun the Golden State Warriors 91-90.
There was no rally on the cards at Portland's Rose Garden arena, however, as the Grizzlies were held without a basket from the floor for nine minutes of the third quarter, making just three field goals in the period.
Jamal Crawford added 15 points off the bench for Portland and center Marcus Camby, who picked up a groin injury during the Blazers' win over Sacramento on Monday, was also outstanding, grabbing 22 rebounds.
