Police Tuesday arrested a suspect for an early morning shooting that left 17 injured in a bar in the southeastern US state of Alabama.
Blankley said the employee then called local police, who came to the store and arrested the suspect "without incident."
The FedEx store was in Jasper, a town 55 miles (88 kilometers) north of Tuscaloosa.
Blankley said the suspect will not be charged until detectives complete their investigation, adding his name and photo will not be released until those charges are filed.
But the Tuscaloosa police department had written on its Facebook page that they were searching for a white male between 5 feet 7 inches (1.7 meters) and 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 meters) tall.
They also posted a still frame taken from security camera footage that showed what appears to be a white male wearing a baseball cap and carrying a gun in the bar's parking lot, identifying him as the shooter.
Blankley had earlier confirmed to AFP that at least 17 people were wounded, including three seriously and one critically, in the shooting at the Copper Top bar in Tuscaloosa around 12:30 am.
According to local media, the bar is popular among students.
