Andre Villas-Boas insists he still has the full backing of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich despite his side's recent slump.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas' problems mounted on Saturday after his side laboured to a 1-1 draw with lower league Birmingham in their FA Cup fifth round tie.

Daniel Sturridge's 62nd minute header spared Chelsea from a humiliating FA Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Birmingham but Saturday's unconvincing 1-1 draw will do little to ease the pressure on Andre Villas-Boas.

Southampton held onto first place in the Championship after a 3-0 victory at Nottingham Forest, while West Ham remain hot on their heels following a 1-0 win at Portsmouth on Saturday.
