William D. (Bill) Lindsey
Hi! I've assembled a few personal facts for your amusement.
I am a parent of two young adults.
I live on the peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I studied painting in college, and on rare occasions, still dabble.
Yes, there is a picture.
I try to give something back to the community through volunteer work at The San Mateo Shelter Network which provides housing and services for homeless families and individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I started my career in publishing technologies and that led, somehow, to an interest in techniques for representing information in computer systems so that the value of that information is maximized. Right now, that means I'm playing alot with XML, which I've been involved with since the beginning. Open source projects I'm working on include XML-Echo and XT.
I am continuing the work in XML processing frameworks and XML databasing I started while chief architect at B-Bop; this time with another startup based near San Diego, Snapbridge Software, Inc.
