Old Sturbridge Village honored Laura Linney with the 2009 Ken Burns Lifetime Achievement Award for her portrayal of Abigail Adams in the HBO series 'John Adams'. Documentary film-maker Ken Burns made the award presentation. Laura Linney won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actor's Guild award for the role. Laura Linney went to school at Northfield Mount Herman in Western Massachusetts and Brown University.
