Hou Jiabei was born in Zunyi, southwest China's Guizhou Province. Eleven years ago when Hou was six, her casual words ''I like somersaulting'' encouraged her parents to send her to the Zunyi Acrobatic Troupe. Hou has spent 5-year happy life in the acrobatic troupe.. Sha Yan, Hou Jiabei's instructor said: ''Hou is very diligent. She is an apt girl and practises hard. She has good basic acrobatic skills.'' Less than two years after Hou Jiabei entered the troupe, she competed in the 5th ''Children Acrobatics Golden Lion Award'' and won the gold award of jujitsu acrobatics show.. Hou Jiabei feels happy despite the hardship every day. In the daytime, she must finish 6 hours' basic skill training and 1 hour's dancing course. At night, she should study in the troupe. She can't drop the least two-hour practice of basic skill even in the weekend.. Invited by China External Performance Company and Ringling Brothers Circus, Hou Jiabei, accompanied by fellows of the Zunyi Acrobatic Troupe, accomplished outstanding performances in 811 shows in 78 cities in America by the end of 2006, which left great and unforgettable impression to American audience..
