Prof. Michelle Simmons (2nd R) leads the research team of Dr Floris Zwanenburg (L), Martin Fuechsle (2nd L) and Dr Suddhasatta Mahapatra (R) from the Centre for Quantum Computer Technology to develop the world's smallest transistor at the University of New South Wales in 2010. The researchers said they had made with pinpoint accuracy a working transistor consisting of a single atom.
